Journal of Joan of Arc Studies

The official quarterly journal of the Historical Academy for Joan of Arc Studies

The Journal of Joan of Arc Studies publishes articles related to the life, military campaigns, and society of La Pucelle and her contemporaries.

A principal focus of the journal will be the presentation of primary source documents and analysis of the historical context: e.g., data related to the military campaigns of 1429-1430 compiled from garrison and contingent records; translations or transcriptions of letters and government archival material concerning Joan of Arc and her circumstances; analyses of Inquisitorial law and 15th century theology; and other such materials. The publication will generally emphasize research data over theory, with a preference for articles written via a collaborative process by several authors.
